Welcome to Nantahala
The Cherokee are the ones credited for finding this region in North Carolina. They called the “town” Aquone. The area is now covered with water, which is known as Nantahala Lake. There’s plenty of evidence that proves other people lived in this area long before the Cherokee Indians were even here.
This area also houses Nantahala National Forest, the largest of the four national forest in North Carolina. Imagine living here, or better yet, find your new home today.
